ok.
if you look at my shots from one year ago.... (idk if they are here or not)
compared to the shots I took recently,
ALL THE SAME SHIT
a.k.a. I have not improved over the past year.
The past year:
-I was in university, less focus in photography.
-I acquired one of the best digital cameras on the market, that does not at all make me a good photographer

(only made myself proud in a really retarded way; if you want to discuss this we can have this chat privately)
-I became obsessed with a high image quality, unique, and inconvenient collection of old manual focus lenses. yes they are great in quality, but what they limit me is my agility, making me lose important shots
-They are mostly small telephoto lenses, meaning that my composition is limited during conventions... this causes the development of this bad shooting habit:
as what my friends referred as...
"無敵拍法" (the Never-Dying [Shitty] Shooting Method)
basically, you go out with a small telephoto lens, and shoot half body shots.
Yes indeed it yields "good" photos.
But "good" in what sense?
everything is... k, half body, nice expressions, and who gives a shit about the background, its all blurred out anyways
then comes the standard post-processing, ok lets enhance the green so grass and trees look nicer, and lets make the sky reallly blue.
GG, there goes the Never-Dying Shitty Shooting Method.
IT IS STANDARD, NO VARIATION!
I have not improved over the past years.... so this coming summer, with a bunch of cosplay events, I will try to renew my shooting style. Hopefully something more creative.
I got a new wide-angle lens too (ALOT wider compared to what I had before), so that should help renew my shooting style.
Meanwhile, I will keep supplying old photos before the new ones arrive.
keep the anticipation and enjoy.
opened to discussion. i will try to reply as much as i can as long as the comments are contributive
